Abstract:
The full Kostant-Toda lattice defined on simple Lie algebras can be viewed as finite version of KP type hierarchies. In this talk I will show you how to explicitly construct (all) rational solutions of KP and BKP hierarchies through Toda lattice. I will also provide a general construction for rational solutions of the Gel'fand-Dickey hierarchies. Part of this talk is based on joint work with Y. Kodama.
