In this talk, we will introduce some optimization problem in remote sensing data processing. The high dimensional characteristics of remote sensing data, especially hyperspectral data, will not only lead to the Hushes phenomenon, but also bring serious computing burden for the later data processing. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out dimensionality reduction calculation of remote sensing data. Previous studies have shown that some dimension reduction problems can be effectively solved through optimization methods, such as particle swarm optimization algorithm, artificial bee colony algorithm and so on. Therefore, optimization method provides a powerful tool for dimension reduction calculation.
