Abstract: This talk investigates the properties of nonlinear Bloch waves influenced by both space-periodic linear and nonlinear management. Nonlinear Bloch waves are fundamental in various physical contexts, such as photonic crystals and Bose-Einstein condensates, where their behavior can be profoundly affected by spatially varying potentials. In this research, we explore how the interplay between periodic linear potentials and periodic modulation of the cubic nonlinearity modifies the existence, stability, and dynamics of Bloch waves. Numerical simulations and analytical techniques are employed to analyze the emergence of phenomena such as soliton formation, nonlinear wave propagation, and modulation instability under combined linear and nonlinear periodic potentials. The results provide insights into the intricate mechanisms governing nonlinear wave behavior in structured media, offering implications for the design of advanced waveguides and devices in nonlinear optics and atomic physics.
