Abstract: In this short course, taking several examples of one-dimensional nonlinear PDEs which often appear in the field of fluid dynamics, we introduce several elementary energy methods which provide "a priori" estimates for the global existence in time and asymptotic behavior of solutions.Lecture III, Viscous p-system: Asymptotic stability of constant states.
