Abstract: A typical distributed secret sharing system consists of a secret distributor, multiple storage nodes and multiple users. Among them, the distributor undertakes the responsibility of encoding the secret into multiple shares and distributing these shares to each storage node. Meanwhile, users access specific storage nodes according to their own access permissions and reconstruct the original secret by downloading and combining the secret shares. This system can meet the requirements for high security and high reliability in the field of modern information technology. Especially when encountering complex network attacks and node failures, its advantages are more prominent. However, the existing distributed secret sharing schemes mainly focus on the threshold access control structure and have the problem of unbalanced storage among storage nodes. Besides, the optimal storage overhead of the existing distributed secret sharing schemes is 1. To address the existing problems, we propose an efficient distributed secret sharing method for general access control structures. In this method, each storage node only needs to store one share, thereby achieving balanced storage. Moreover, this method is applicable not only to the threshold access structure but also to the general access control structure. In addition, the distributed secret sharing scheme proposed in this paper has a better storage overhead in the threshold case, that is, SO < 1.
