Abstract: Quantum entanglement, as a key feature of quantum mechanics, plays a significant role for many tasks in quantum information and computation. Quantum steering, which is inherently asymmetric with respect to the two parties of the system, is regarded as an essential resource for one-sided device-independent quantum information processing. Nevertheless, the detection of entangled states and steerable states remains a big challenge under active studies. In this take, I will present several separability criteria and steerability criteria respectively, which are based on the correlation matrices defined by some local measurements of special significance, such as symmetric measurements, Heisenberg-Weyl observables etc. Furthermore, some related properties and possible applications of symmetric measurements will be introduced.
