So very sad to hear the news of the passing of Professor Wu Wen Tsun. I met him for the first time in Beijing in the summer of 1979.  He was a great mathematician, an intellectual giant, a dedicated patriot, and a true gentleman-scholar in the classical Chinese tradition.  His legacy to the Chinese mathematical community will keep him alive always in the minds and hearts of so many impacted by his life and work.
