题 目:Numerical Study of Nonlinear Stability of Fluid Dynamics
摘 要:
Nonlinear stability plays an important role in fluid dynamics. Efficient numerical tools are essential and crucial to study complex dynamical phenomena induced by nonlinear stability, e.g. chaos and turbulence. In this talk, I will give a short introduction to several numerical approaches for nonlinear stability analysis. Particular emphasis will be given to minimum action methods for studying sub-critical transitions in plane channel flow and Lyapunov exponents analysis of passive particles in compressible homogeneous isotropic turbulence. Numerical challenges will be discussed.
